Bob Jackson RT could be summed up as cyclists who enjoy racing. Our members partake in most forms of road and track racing and range from complete beginners to world champions. We are also prominent in British Cycling as the team secretary Matthew Payne is in the Yorkshire area work group and is the current organiser of the West Riding Track League at Roundhay, Leeds.
The team jointly promotes the summer long Tadcaster ( Or Thursday night ) Time Trial League, a race series consisting of pay on the line races of 10, 15, 25 miles and a circuit time trial. The series draws local riders from the Yorkshire region and is keenly contested.
Training rides are also part of the team set up. Rides on a Tuesday morning throughout the year and Thursday evening's along with Sunday mornings ( Until the race season starts ), are their to help the team improve towards their own goals.
We have riders competing throughout the year from the early season time trials through to the hill climbs of the autumn and all the track and road racing in between! We also have a strong representation of Triathletes within the team and would more than welcome anyone from the multi-discipline sport to our ranks.
